23rd June 2008 ROMAN Abramovich has told new boss Phil Scolari: Forget Deco
– I want Andrei Arshavin.

The Russian play-maker is one of world football’s hottest talents after
lighting up Euro 2008.

Chelsea owner Abramovich thinks his countryman is just the player to add
sparkle to the squad at Stamford Bridge – and will sanction a £20m
bid.

Scolari is a fan of Portugal midfielder Deco and told the player he would
try to take him to Chelsea from Barcelona this summer.

But Arshavin’s displays, including a magical performance against Holland on
Saturday which was witnessed by Abramovich, has seen him leap to the top of
the Chelsea wanted list.

Deco had been his favourite, but at 30, age counts against the Portugal star
in contrast to the tricky 27-year-old.

And now the billionaire has made it known to Scolari he favours bringing in
Arshavin.

Abramovich has admitted to friends in Switzerland that he has been impressed
by the Zenit St Petersburg star, who also made a huge impact leading his
team to UEFA Cup victory over Rangers in May.

Zenit boss Dick Advocaat admits Arshavin wants to leave and the fact he has
started taking English lessons is a clear indication where he wants to go.

With his contacts in the Russian game, Abram-ovich knows he can sign the
player who has become the undoubted star of Euro 2008 so far.

Newcastle failed with an £11m bid in January and had hoped to make an
increased offer this summer.

Arsenal and Everton have also shown interest but his Euro form will have
upped the price.

翔哥这么多年为我国取得的成绩你们怎么不看呢！
去年来说，他在黄金联赛也取得不错的成绩啊！
