Some religious scholars have an interesting take on the concept of sin. They say God neither punishes sinners nor rewards those who do not sin. Instead, the concept of sin is a warning, like “Do not touch that stove because it is hot”.
Thus sin is a sin not because it is disapproved of in heaven, but because it harms not just others, but the sinner himself.
I say this in reference to China, because the greatest harm caused by the Chinese, their government and their people, is to themselves. While they seek to harm others, and do harm others, the greatest harm is to themselves.
The only questions are in what forms this harm will come, and when. Importantly, the harm itself is unlikely to cause their redemption, the avoidance of such harm in the future. This can only come about when they make the connection between their behaviors and the harm that they cause.
And this can only happen in its own time, as well.

So, this earthquake was God’s punishment to the Chinese for sinning?
To: Dog Gone
Yes.
China has been punished directly, by God, for being sinful.
China has sinned. It shall pay |
