You either say " to be frank", or " frankly". There is no such term as:" to be frankly".

Although there isn't much connection between my current job and this position, to become a( your new job title) has always been included in my career planning. In addition,( or use "plus" if you wanna be more causal) I had some previous experience working in this felid, therefore, I do believe I am the right candidate for this role.
