In the history of the OnGameNet Star League only one player has been able to obtain the coveted Golden Mouse. The prizes return to the scene was inevitable but at the hands of who? That question or in some cases that prayer has been answered....
Tushin, The God of War, Park Sung Jun, JulyZerg a three time OSL champion, the first Zerg to even win one and the second player ever to hold the Golden Mouse in his hands. Last night July won in the OSL finals against Best a up and coming SKT1 Protoss player, beforehand the match was tough to call a final which could be won by either player.
When the opening fanfare ended, the lights went low the OGN Announcers gathered on the stage and the players were called out. JulyZerg full of some mystic confidence stepped into the cameras view and clenched his fists together, this victory meant something to him and it was apparent in his eyes. He calmly walked to the stage taking his place beside one of the commentators and awaited his rival, Doh Jae Wook a.k.a. BeSt. The warrior of Aiur stepped into the stadium and made his way as July was doing the same, though his walk and demeanor seemed less confident, less motivated to take this victory. An omen hung over his head that told of his worried mind a factor which may have played into his eventual loss.
Best walked to his booth after the pre game interview and sat down quickly wanting to play as soon as possible. July took his time to the booth as if sitting down next to an old friend, somewhere he felt familiar feelings and met people he knew. The difference was huge between the two players mental state, though they are even enemies as technical players.
Then Best lost the finals in game one, July five pooled him not so he could win but so he could demoralize him and win. It was clear in Bests face that he had felt the mind attack from hardcore veterans like July before, but never like this.
It could be said that JulyZerg won this final on a gust of luck, he was practically handed the second game, the first was a clear mind game and the last game was over before Best left his base. So did July come upon the most brilliant stroke of luck ever? Nobody from the school of years past has been able to win a title lately, much less bring down their third OSL for the Golden Mouse. Or has July had enough of messing around, after nearly retiring he comes back to a title with a new team , it would seem that this old dog has learned a few new tricks.
