Website Are Chinese players really better/worse than other internationals?Recently Excello changed their LineUp and now really depends of the chinese players.
(especially after Strelok joined MYM)
Most of this guys think as far as I know that they are a lot better than all the other internationals, that they are as good as korean semi pros.
But in my eyes the internationals are even better than all of the chinese guys (except F91, LX and PJ). Guys like Mondragon, Strelok, Draco, Dreiven, White-Ra etc are a lot better than most of the chinese players. I saw many reps chinese players thats why I think this way.
What do you think?

Website Re: Are Chinese players really better/worse than other internationals?lets cut away all foreigners and all chinese who were in Korea as progamers. anyone who goes to korea should no longer be considered against people who have not. so now we take out Draco/Assem/Legionnaire and LX/PJ. If you compare the top lineup of foreigners vs the top lineup of Chinese I would say that foreigners are still stronger. Not by a lot and not for too long. The Chinese skill base im sure will grow faster and faster and faster. Having a pro scene where you can actually make money playing will do that in any game. we really dont have that so cant hope to keep up in the long run. but for now they arent better no.

Posts: 38 Re: Are Chinese players really better/worse than other internationals?We shouldn't really consider China a foreign country, they are both Asian countries. When I think about foreigners I think about USA, Canada, Europe etc. Im not trying to be racist here im just stating a point.

Their terran players are better than even our best (at least Super is far better), and their zergs are far better than Mondragon or XiaOzi, etc. I think Testie is more skilled than any protoss they have though.
But on the other hand foreigners play about 5 games a week, where competitive Chinese players might play 100. It's not a fair comparison, just like comparing Koreans to foreigners isn't. They each have their own isolated communities that are unbelievably active and supported with huge leagues/tournaments, motivating them to give it their all.

Website Re: Are Chinese players really better/worse than other internationals?I dont think that any chinese player beside F91 can actually beat Mondragon. He would even beat PJ in bo5 3-1.
Others like Strelok and White-Ra are also better than the chinese. Every game a chinese play versus a foreigner and its not PJ lx or f91 the chinese guy lose. ALWAYS.
Chinese are overrated cause many think they have a pro scene like korea.

The problem is in my eyes that non korean terrans (sry Skew) have a hard time to be on the top. As strelok said you have to be a machine to be a really good terran, which is the reason why only such few foreigners are good terrans. (skew, artosis, idra, strelok, lamer etc) but in korea many pgs are terrans. The point is you cant really do this comparison with terran players.
But good foreign protoss and zerg players would easily beat all chinese except pj, lx and mb f91.

Website Re: Are Chinese players really better/worse than other internationals?Well of course my opinion is only of them vs terran, I don't know how any chinese player (other than the terrans) players vs Z/P. So in vs Z/P matchups, maybe foreigners are equal. Definitely not vs T...
