I live in Canada,But I see movies, TV shows and listen to all kinds of music for free too. Using super advanced Chinese piracy softwares. I alsofinished Mass Effect3 recently too. Downloaded from a Chinese website. That's kinda of an advantage if you know a little bit Chinese language.

While not a huge fan of piracy I do believe the Chinese view on copyrights is going to eventually level the playing field and bring the cost of media down to where it should be. The reason it costs $15 to see a movie is the actors are paid WAY too much,and now the lowest wage earners can not even afford to see a movie,something anyone could afford in the past..do you think Tom Cruise gives a rats ass that even in the west millions can't afford to see a movie he got paid 25 million to star in.

Billions are spent trying to stop piracy while the real piracy is selling you an i-tunes song for $1 or more..digital (meaning no effort on the sellers part) costs more than buying a physical product..less jobs for those making CDs but more $ for the artists and producers. Make it 10 cents a song and piracy would be eliminated because people would think the price was fair..Consumers are saying loud and clear that they don't believe the products are worth the price..

一首i-tunes歌曲卖到1美元了还花数十亿的美刀去反盗版。花费在数字版上的钱比起实物要多的多（还不算销售业绩）。收入中发行商和歌手占大头，制作CD的只能喝点汤。要是10美分一首歌，大家会觉得价钱公道，哪还有盗版。消费者们都很清楚的告诉他们（出版商）这玩意不值那么多钱了。
The real reason anyway is cost on entertainment software... while lets say in UK game price compared to month income is just a change money, in other country thats a fortune... offcourse nobody gona buy game wich costs 25% of month income for majority in my country...

娱乐软件占了大头是主因，这么说吧在英国买张游戏的钱是月收入的零头，可在其他國镓那就是巨资了..当然英国也没人会花费四分之一的钱去买张游戏。
For movies you should try "Funshion" 风行 They have very quick loading and much better quality and selection of movies! Tuduo only has lower resolution. I live in Taiwan and Funshion works even perfectly here. Never have to visit blockbuster or any DVD store again cuz they've got it all.

About copyright and piracy is of course much more to say. When it relates to software and digital media it is obvious, but how about all kinds of other products? And what about the quality of copied products (not software)? And then you have the fake products (including the really nasty ones like the fake eggs they recently found in Shanghai). Piracy and copying is part of the Chinese mindset, but the CCP official Patent Strategy Plan is a different cup of tea.

im sorry but you are a dumb modafka. Piracy and Copyright exists all over the world, especially in western society. Go google in "Movie Name" stream online, and you get the link to the movie stream on the first page of results. There are more piracy in China mostly because of stereotypes. Besides at least some people makes a little bit of money selling bootlegs. Its not a legitimate business, but hey, it gives them to make a living. Here in Canada, people download them anyways. Serpentza - Can you use piratebay or other torrent sites in China? Since youtube is blocked, how do you upload / watch your vids? When I get there will I still be able to see your videos? Will TOR or a VPN work to get around the firewall? Thanks so much for your help! The transition to China will be so much easier because of your insight.

I think places like Jia Le Fu often have legitimate DVDs. I have a feeling your videos are making a lot of people want to go to China. More than likely they won't tend to share your open attitude when they get there, though. You seem rather unique in terms of being able to either adapt or ignore things you don't like. Most people rather tend to do the opposite, it seems to me.

me, in Ireland there isnt free wi-fi everywhere most of the places you have to ask for a password and then you pay for it around 2.50 euros per hour quiet expensive just like in the airports around here.

我啊，爱尔兰大部分地方没有免费wifi的，想用得就花2.5欧元1小时换个密码，这尼玛都跟机场周边一样贵了。

in China if you spend money with the coffee shop or other shop or airport, they don't charge you for wifi use. why do they charge 2.50 euro for 1 hour? so unfair, wifi is not that expensive.

在中国，只要你在咖啡店或其他店，机场啊消费了就能用，可不带拿wifi找零的，为什么1个小时要2.5欧元啊？太不公平，wifi又不贵。

Makes me think that piracy does not encourage Chinese musicians, actors, artist, etc. to try and produce anything because they won't make any money at it. Therefore stifulling creativity which drives China to commit even more piracy and copyright infringement in order to entertain their masses. By the way very good video, thank you very much !!!!

Thats not really the case.China is not any different from any other place in this. Just recently Megaupload got cracked down, for how long they have been battling TBP? The reason for them to pirate foreign stuff is because there is no legit stuff on sale. Besides, sites like that exist in the west as well, Megaupload being one. Not any different really, its just that in China no one hides it or pretends it doesnt exist so its become a bit more "mainstream" in a way.

What is the difference between PPS and the P2P software you were using in the video? It looks like the one you demonstrated seems to be more 'English' friendly in terms of the UI and the software itself whereas PPS is strictly Chinese - so if you don't know Chinese, it will be difficult for you to use or navigate around the software.
